New Kpop Group MBLAQ Album Finally Released

17 Oct

MBLAQ is a Kpop group that consists of five guys (Yang Seung Ho, Lee Joon, G.O, Mir (Cheol Yong), and Cheon Dung (Sandara from 2NE1′s little brother) and guess who they’re under? RAIN. BI RAIN.
Rain you are amazing. He sings, AND he has his own group..
Well he’s not in the group..but he owns them? xD

This song is called “Oh Yeah”. Personally I don’t like it very much…I just listened to it..and all i can remember is them saying “OH YEAH OH YEAH” over and over again.

This song is G.O.O.D Luv.

And this is My Dream.

New Kpop Group: HinT

20 Sep

Yes, I know. It’s another new Kpop group. -__-||
Okay this one is called HinT. The members include two guys and one girl, and their names are Ju In, Shin Gyu, and Yeun Gyung. I think this is my first time seeing a Kpop group that has both genders in it, so that’s pretty cool to me :]
I like some songs that have both girl and guy voices in them. So yeah.
The first video is the MV and the second is their debut, their live performance on M!Countdown.
Their debut song is actually pretty good too. It’s not as catchy as “T.T Dance” by HAM (LOL ham..)”Lachata” by f(x), or U.F.O by Telepathy? (or the other way round?), but it’s nice to listen to. It’s soothing like “Shelter” by Jaejoong and Yoochun…(if you want to listen to any of the songs I just named, just type it in the search box). The song is called “Passion’s Generation”, and it kind of sounds like an Epik High song at the beginning. This song is a good debut song for them.

HAM’s “T.T Dance” Debut

17 Sep

The new girl Kpop group Heart and Mind…or known as HAM..finally made their debut with “T.T Dance” on M! Countdown.

Well….the song was a disappointment. When I heard the teaser, they only played the chorus, which was bubbly and cute, and I kind of liked it. But then…I heard this debut…and the song started helllaaa different. WTF?

It started out as a Rock song, and then became the cute and cheerful chorus, which was really really bad. I mean…the Rock part didn’t sound bad, and the chorus wasn’t really bad either, but they put it together. If those two different parts were separated, and became two different songs (one Rock, and one bubbly), then they would sound okay….

DBSK vs SM Update

10 Sep

The court ordered SM Entertainment to turn in all of DBSK’s financial documents by September 11th, 2009. And the court will make a decision based on what they see on those documents.

The court stated that their judgement will be final and that both parties will not be able to return for a retrial, once a decision is made.

SM Entertainment stated:
“After turning in all documents by the 11th, there is nothing more for us to do than await the courts final decision. As of now, we have no idea when a decision will be made by the courts.”

Heartbreaker Album’s Plagiarism Issues

9 Sep

Remember those plagiarism accuses of G-Dragon’s Heartbreaker album? I thought they were gone already, but nope. They’ve come back.

An article on the album:
“The accusations have been so strong that several publishing companies have said they will investigate.

The title track of the album, “Heartbreaker,” is said to have a striking resemblance to Flo Rida’s “Right Round.” Also, the song “Butterfly” seems to be a rip- off of Oasis’ “She’s Electric.”

The rights to “Right Round” in Korea are controlled by four companies: Warner Chappell Music Korea, Sony ATV Publishing Korea, Fuji Pacific Music Korea, and EMI Music Publishing Korea.

Both Warner Chappell and Sony ATV said they have noticed the similarities and will check with the composers of “Right Round” for further investigation. However, EMI Music said it saw no similarity.

G-Dragon’s management company, YG Entertainment, has not made no official commentary.”

DBSK’s Fans Help Fight Back

29 Aug

Some DBSK fans submitted a petition with 121,083 signatures to the Korean Human Right Commission to protect DBSK’s human rights.

“The exclusive contract between TVXQ and SM Entertainment is so unlawful and so violating of basic human rights that it is hard to believe that this is the contract between the nation’s best idol group and the nation’s best entertainment agency,” said the fans. “This contract shows the dark, sinister side of the Korean agency and is shocking the nation.”

I hope their petition works. I’m only sad because I didn’t get to sign it :[

More on f(x)!

24 Aug

f(x) will debut this September. The ‘x’ in ‘f(x)’ is like a variable. If the ‘x’ changes, the result will be different. Which correlates to the members diverse skills and backgrounds, which will allow them to not only flourish in Korea, but by changing their x-factor or variable, they will also succeed overseas – as that is the plan.

In addition, the ‘f’ stands for ‘flower’, and the ‘x’ stands for the female chromosome ‘xx’. And like a flower, they will blossom and become hot icons to represent Asia as the top “Asian Pop Dance Group.”

DBSK Breaking Up Rumors True?

19 Aug

DBSK’s Junsu, Micky, and Jaejoong have had their first hearing regarding the situation with SM Entertainment. An appeal to suspend the exclusive contract was made and if by any chance the exclusive contract suspension does go through, it will become inevitable that the group will break up. If the contract suspension is accepted, then the three members will no longer be able to perform as SME and it is being speculated that the two members who did not join, Yunho and Changmin will walk in a separate direction with three new members.

Considering all this, the reactions of the fans will probably cause absolute chaos. Not only this, but people who are vying for the three open spots of DBSK will also be tearing up a storm to get a chance. DBSK’s fan club Cassiopeia is currently boycotting SM Entertainment. With the cancellation of SM TOWN LIVE ’09, they began the boycott on the 12th and are continuing to do so.

What’s with Key, Seohyun, and Jessica?

13 Aug

Left to right: Seohyun, Key, Jessica

Seohyun from SNSD admitted that it was awkward between her and Key from SHINee.

She admitted, “Although we are the same age, Key and I still only use formal speech (Korean has an informal and formal way of talking) when we talk to each other.” When asked, Key also agreed, “We didn’t even say hello to one other until I was 4 years into training.”

When Jung Hyung Don asked Key about his first impression of Jessica, Key replied half jokingly, half seriously, “She was scary”. When Jessica was asked about her first impression of Key, she said “I didn’t even know he existed” as a joke. She was probably trying to get back at Key.

Silly Key xD
I hope he gets over all that awkwardness.
